Being a CA by profession, his skilful eye for detail has helped resurgent to implement some of the most complex Debt & Equity deals including ECB and structured debt in sectors ranging from real estate, power, hospitality, retail, infrastructure, life sciences and consumer goods & services.
He has an extensive functional and leadership experience of around 15 years at Resurgent. proficiency in origination, structuring and execution of Corporate Finance, Debt Syndication and Corporate Banking deals across India.
Successfully originated and led several large and complex mandates in the areas of Debt Advisory (bilateral, syndication, refinancing, project finance and export agency finance), Corporate Debt Restructuring, Infrastructure Advisory and other Corporate Finance and Corporate Banking Fields. He is a Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary
Shri K.K. Gupta brings on board a plethora of knowledge in executing the complicated debt deals with 40 years of experience in the banking sector. He handled credit portfolio of the Bank, monitoring of EAS /SMA, follow up of audit report, control return to RBI, MIS correspondence with government of India
Apart from a bachelor’s degree in economics and an MBA (master’s in business administration) in finance and certified associate of Indian Institute on Bankers, Shri K.K. Gupta has been honoured with various awards including all India award for deposit mobilization, housekeeping and export performance for extra-large branch during his work span.
At resurgent, he acts as a mentor for our entire team. He handled the corporate and industrial credit portfolio of the exceptionally large branches, zonal office, corporate office for more than 30 years.
In a career span of 39 years, Mr. Shankar has worked in various positions in the banking industry. He started his career as a probationary officer in state bank of Bikaner and Jaipur in the year 1971 and retired as managing director of state bank of Indore.
Mr. Shankar has vast experience in commercial lending, syndications, restructuring, asset recovery, treasury operations and foreign exchange.He is M.SC. (physics) from Meerut university and CAIIB from Indian Institute of Bankers, Mumbai.
In a career span of more than 35 years, Mr. Mohanty has worked in various position in the banking industry. He started his career as probationary officer in State Bank of India as a direct recruit in the year 1980 and retired as general manager, mid corporate, New Delhi from State Bank of India.
Mr. Mohanty has vast experience in commercial lending, international banking, restructuring, asset recovery, treasury operations, foreign exchange, stressed assets resolution etc.He is m.com from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha And CAIIB From Indian Institute of Bankers, Mumbai.
He has more than 32 years, comprising of 30 years in non-banking financial companies (NBFC) / financial services industry. Of this, more than 13 years of experience is at CXO level, in corporate planning, strategy formulation and overall P & L responsibility in financial services / NBFC and manufacturing sector.
His board level experience includes he is being a managing director of manufacturing companies, Managing Director & CEO of an NBFC, managing director of a financial services company, as a member of the investment committee and investment advisory board of a reputed private equity fund
He has also been the nominee director on the boards of borrower / investee companies, totalling 10 companies at various points in time since 1995, consisting of 4 listed companies and 6 unlisted companies covering steel, sugar, textile, paper and hospitality sectors. He helped rebuild peerless financial services ltd. (PFS) which was lying dormant for more than 15 years and kicked off lending business from march, 2014.
He also built STCI Finance Ltd., a systemically important, non-deposit taking NBFC, registered with RBI as a loan company. Have built this lending organization in July 2009 from scratch by formulating lending policy, risk management policy, set up robust systems & processes, built a healthy and sizeable portfolio of borrowers (both retail and wholesale).
He has 40 years of experience in corporation bank in the field heading branches, zone & circle. In PSUs he was instrumental in securing the relationship with IOCL, PEC Limited, STC limited, Mother Dairy, KVIC, AP TRANSCO / GENCO, AP Housing Corporation, LIC Housing, PFC, FCI, NCDC, BSNL, MTNL. He had the opportunity to tie up their capex, working capital & trade finance requirements
During these years, he was fully involved in the processes of restructuring, assigning the debt to ARCs, OTS etc., further, when RBI announced series of schemes viz., 5/25, SDR, S4A, etc. He also attended most of the JLMS / CORE committee meetings to find a resolution to a particular case.
During his tenure in the bank, about 15 awards have been received which includes, best branch award, chairman’s club (6 times), super ordinate goal achiever (4 times), productivity linked incentive award etc.
He was involved in business development for debt and equity assignments. He helped in execution of debt mandates involving project/assignment evaluation, preparation of information docs/ financial docs, representation to banks/ advising and negotiating deal terms, coordinating all related activities and financial closures.
He also looked after overall group finance and accounts for 3 manufacturing units (Arvind International Limited, A BSE Listed Company, Pu Foam, Coir & Spring Mattresses Industry). His experience involves interaction with banks for increments in credit limits, rescheduling of payment obligations, preparation of documents including CMAs, project reports, cash budgets for rescheduled payments for term loan/interest, LC obligations.
As an investment banking professional, he managed private placements of debt of WBIDC, IIBI, IDBI, NHPC, Power Finance Corporation. Also actively participated in developing institutional clients for debt consumption across India including PSU, Provident Funds, Bank Treasuries & PFS, Corporate PFS, Rural Development Banks (RRBS), Cooperatives. He co-managed IPOs of debt in IDBI, IFCI.
